Owner – Strategic Leadership for Power Generation

About the role

The Owner role at KAPCO is a full‑time, on‑site senior leadership position responsible for setting the strategic direction of Pakistan’s largest combined‑cycle power plant. You will work closely with the board and executive team to drive long‑term growth and ensure operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the company’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
• Approve major capital investments and oversee their alignment with regulatory and market requirements.
• Review operational and financial performance, assess risks, and guide decisions on plant efficiency, expansion and modernization.
• Represent KAPCO in high‑level stakeholder engagements with government bodies, investors and key partners.
• Ensure adherence to governance standards, ethical practices, safety, compliance and environmental responsibilities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in power generation, energy infrastructure or related industrial sectors, with deep knowledge of combined‑cycle plant operations.
• Proven corporate leadership, strategic planning and governance experience in large‑scale or capital‑intensive organisations.
• Strong financial acumen, capable of interpreting complex financial statements, investment proposals and risk analyses.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and negotiate with regulators, government entities, investors and community representatives.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and environmental standards.
• Relevant academic background such as engineering, business, finance or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly beneficial.
