Part‑time Lead Instructor – Data & Analytics Engineering

About the role

Edversity is launching a 12‑week Data & Analytics Engineering Program and seeks an experienced industry practitioner to lead the instruction on a part‑time basis. The Lead Instructor will deliver live sessions, mentor capstone projects and assess learners for employer referrals while continuing a full‑time engineering job.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver three live teaching sessions each week for the 12‑week, 96‑hour program.
• Lead weekly code‑review and technical defence clinics.
• Review student assignments and capstone projects, providing feedback and mentorship.
• Run production‑style data incident simulations.
• Keep curriculum aligned with current industry practices and identify graduates ready for referrals.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or data platform roles.
• Experience owning or supporting production data platforms and handling production data incidents.
• Strong communication skills in English and Urdu and availability for fixed evening sessions over 12 consecutive weeks.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and Python.
• Practical experience with dbt, Snowflake, cloud data warehouses and orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure services.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling, metric governance and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Apache Iceberg/lakehouse concepts, Power BI and AI coding assistants.
