Penetration Tester

About the role

Magnatec Systems is seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to join its on‑site team in Johar Town. You will be responsible for evaluating the security of applications, networks and systems through controlled attacks, identifying vulnerabilities and delivering clear, actionable findings.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute penetration tests against web, mobile and network assets.
• Exploit and verify identified weaknesses, documenting detailed technical and non‑technical reports.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to recommend remediation and improve secure coding practices.
• Participate in red‑team exercises, internal security reviews and continuous improvement of security standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, tools and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Strong cybersecurity knowledge, including common attack vectors, security frameworks and defensive controls.
• Experience in application security, secure coding principles and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Background in red‑team operations, adversary simulation and social‑engineering awareness.
• Hands‑on experience with reverse engineering, binary analysis and malware analysis techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE or CEH are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with penetration testing tools: Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices.
• Reverse engineering using disassemblers and debuggers.
• Static and dynamic malware analysis, sandboxing, and understanding of persistence mechanisms.
