Personal Staff Officer to Chairman

About the role

Act as the Chairman’s analytical and strategic partner, turning vision into evaluated opportunities, funded plans and tracked execution for a listed company.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new markets, products, joint ventures, acquisitions and capacity expansion including feasibility, ROI and risk.
• Build investment cases and board‑ready presentations, run due‑diligence coordination and track execution against milestones and budgets.
• Work with CFO and treasury on funding strategy, term loans, working capital lines, LCs, guarantees, supplier credit and export financing.
• Prepare for and join negotiations with banks and DFIs, benchmark terms and pricing, monitor liquidity, debt covenants, leverage and cost of funds.
• Explore alternative funding such as sukuk/bonds, equity, private placements and export refinance schemes.
• Analyze monthly and quarterly results, variances, margins and cash flow, flag issues to the Chairman and maintain a dashboard of group KPIs.
• Serve as the Chairman’s link to the CEO, CFO and Company Secretary on strategic matters and support relationships with investors, regulators, banks and trade partners.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in a Chairman’s or CEO’s office of a listed company in a strategic or advisory capacity.
• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills (DCF, cash‑flow, ratios, IRR/NPV).
• Hands‑on exposure to trade finance and bank negotiations.
• Track record of contributing to at least one expansion, acquisition or major funding transaction.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CFA or MBA (finance) and experience in corporate/investment banking, strategy consulting or corporate finance.
