Pharmacist – Full-time position

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Karachi. The role involves reviewing prescriptions, dispensing medications, and providing patient counseling while ensuring compliance with Pakistani pharmacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and potential medication‑related risks.
• Dispense and label medications in accordance with Pakistani laws, professional standards, and established procedures.
• Provide clear counseling to patients on medication use, dosage, storage, side effects, and adherence.
• Coordinate with prescribers and care‑team members to clarify prescriptions and support appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate prescription, dispensing, inventory, and controlled‑medicine records while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Monitor stock levels, check expiry dates, and follow safe storage and handling requirements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutic uses, dosage, contraindications, and common drug interactions.
• Accuracy in prescription review, dispensing, labeling, calculations, and documentation.
• Excellent patient counseling skills with the ability to explain medication instructions clearly and compassionately.
• Sound judgment in identifying medication risks and escalating concerns to prescribers.
• Familiarity with pharmacy regulations, ethical practice, confidentiality, and medication safety procedures in Pakistan.
• Competence in inventory control, expiry monitoring, and appropriate medicine storage.
