Pharmacy Technician Care Guide

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician Care Guide supports LucyRx’s clinical programs by managing medication‑related tasks and helping members access lifestyle resources. This position ensures smooth program coordination, timely prior authorizations, and high member satisfaction while collaborating with clinical teams and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑level review of prior authorizations for GLP‑1 therapies, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with turnaround times.
• Follow up on medication fills and renewals, educating members on coverage, co‑pay assistance, and reimbursement options.
• Guide members through lifestyle vendor programs, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
• Act as liaison between members and vendors to facilitate smooth transitions.
• Maintain accurate records of member interactions and generate regular engagement reports for the clinical team.
• Interpret pharmacy benefit plans, communicate with clinical reviewers on formulary issues, and meet departmental quality metrics.
• Participate in internal quality‑improvement initiatives, training, and professional development.
• Assist with broader clinical program operations as business needs evolve.

Required profile

• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in retail pharmacy, PBM, or managed‑care environment.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Professional suite.
• Project‑management skills and strong organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with clinical programs such as weight‑loss initiatives.
• Ability to adapt quickly to unexpected changes.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and solid understanding of PBM operations, claims processing, and HIPAA regulations.
