PhD Peer Reviewer – Environmental Engineering

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in environmental engineering or a closely related field to join our editorial team as part‑time peer reviewers. This long‑term, remote position allows you to contribute to the scientific community by evaluating manuscripts submitted to reputable journals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and scientific contribution of each manuscript.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Check the completeness and relevance of the literature review.
• Analyse results, verify that conclusions are supported by data, and identify any ethical concerns.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in environmental engineering or a related discipline.
• At least five peer‑review‑ready publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and meeting deadlines.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
