PhD Peer Reviewer – Integrative & Complementary Medicine

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in integrative or complementary medicine to join our editorial team as part‑time peer reviewers. This remote position involves evaluating submitted manuscripts to ensure scientific quality and relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and contribution of each manuscript.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity and validity.
• Provide constructive, written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Commitment to confidentiality and objectivity.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
