Planning Engineer - Fuel Retail Projects

About the role

Avanceon, a multinational corporation specializing in automation, control systems integration and energy management solutions, is hiring a Planning Engineer. You will plan, schedule and coordinate fuel retail projects (new stations, upgrades and maintenance) so they are delivered on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain project schedules from concept to commissioning
• Track progress, milestones and variances, and produce reports and S-curves
• Coordinate contractors, vendors and civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Identify schedule risks and delays and prepare mitigation and recovery plans
• Collaborate on procurement of long lead items
• Manage approvals, permits and regulatory approvals from stakeholders
• Manage 360 communication between the field team and departmental functions
• Prepare management reports on project status, KPIs and resource use

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 3-6 years of planning and scheduling experience (fuel retail, oil & gas or construction preferred)
• Understanding of HSE and fuel-handling regulations
• PMP or planning certification preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Strong Excel skills
