Pre-Sales / Design & Estimation Engineer – Building Management Systems (BMS)

About the role

Aala Tech is looking for a Pre‑Sales / Design & Estimation Engineer specialized in Building Management Systems (BMS). The role involves preparing technical proposals, designing system architectures, and delivering accurate cost estimates for BMS projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, cost estimates and commercial quotations.
• Design BMS solutions, including system architecture, control schematics and I/O schedules.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and prepare technical submittals.
• Select appropriate BMS controllers, field devices and communication networks.
• Coordinate with suppliers, consultants and internal teams during the bidding process.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings and presentations.
• Conduct site surveys and technical evaluations as required.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate estimation records and project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in BMS, building automation, HVAC controls or electrical design & estimation.
• Experience preparing BOQs, technical proposals and tender submissions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, KNX or similar communication protocols.
• Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
