Principal Software Engineer - Android

About the role

Dubizzle Labs is expanding its Pakistan engineering office and seeks a Principal Software Engineer specialized in Android. You will lead the development of high‑quality native mobile applications that support rapid growth across ten countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop native Android applications, writing modular, secure, and well‑tested code.
• Design solutions, proof‑of‑concepts, and mentor junior engineers.
• Partner with architects and product managers to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Own feature lifecycles: architect, implement, deploy, and continuously improve performance and stability.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and team mentoring.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and independence.
• Experience designing reusable, testable, and scalable systems.
• Background in developing Mobile/Automotive SDKs or kits integrated into various apps.
• Excellent knowledge of Java and Kotlin, reactive programming, and Android architectural components.
• Deep understanding of Android system frameworks, native libraries, services, runtime, and hardware abstractions.
• Familiarity with compile, build, and packaging phases of Android development.
• Knowledge of REST/HTTP, JSON, and backend integration.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release automation.
• Ability to meet milestones in an agile environment and collaborate effectively.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to guide team growth and processes.
