About the role
The World Bank is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support its development initiatives in Pakistan and the broader MENAAP region. This four‑year fixed‑term position will work closely with the Country Management Unit and regional teams to ensure procurement activities align with World Bank policies and objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Support procurement operations for World Bank projects in Pakistan.
- Collaborate with the Country Management Unit (CMU‑MAP07) and regional offices to coordinate procurement activities.
- Apply and monitor compliance with World Bank procurement guidelines and procedures.
- Prepare and review procurement documentation, including solicitations, contracts, and evaluation reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, economics, public administration, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in procurement, preferably within international development or public sector projects.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Eligibility to work in Pakistan and ability to operate on‑site in Islamabad.
