Product Owner

About the role

We are seeking a sharp, driven Product Owner to lead the product roadmap in a fast‑paced startup environment. You will bridge business strategy with technical execution, turning ambiguity into clear, actionable deliverables while keeping the team focused on quality and speed.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously refine the product backlog, prioritising based on business value, user impact and technical feasibility.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, engineering and design, ensuring alignment on the ‘why’ before the ‘what’.
• Lead requirements‑gathering sessions, workshops and stakeholder interviews to uncover real needs.
• Generate crisp user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications for engineers.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming and sprint reviews, keeping the team unblocked.
• Identify risks, dependencies and edge cases early and resolve them proactively.
• Define and track key product metrics, using data to validate decisions and iterate quickly.
• Manage stakeholder expectations with transparent communication of timelines, trade‑offs and progress.
• Collaborate on go‑to‑market strategies, release plans and post‑launch reviews.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an IT/software environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with evidence‑based decision making.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical trade‑offs for executives and detailed requirements for developers.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and thriving in a startup or early‑stage product team.
• Nice to have: CSPO, PSPO, PMP or equivalent certification; experience with SaaS, marketplaces or B2B platforms; background in UX research.
