Professional Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a Professional Nurse to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings at Imran Idrees Teaching Hospital in Sialkot. The role involves direct clinical responsibilities, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and participation in education of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments and monitor vital signs in accordance with hospital policies.
• Document all care activities accurately using the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to ensure safe, evidence‑based treatment.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medication regimens and post‑discharge care.
• Support infection‑control and patient‑safety protocols.
• Assist with clinical procedures, respond to emergencies and aid in training nursing students and junior staff.

Required profile

• Valid professional nursing qualification and registration with the relevant nursing council.
• Proven clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration and basic life support.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety standards and evidence‑based nursing practice.
• Effective communication, ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm under pressure.
• Comfort with electronic medical records and basic computer applications.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Preference for experience in a hospital or teaching‑hospital environment.
