About the role
The Programme Support Intern will provide cross‑cutting technical and administrative assistance to UN Women programme teams in Islamabad, contributing to research, documentation, coordination, monitoring and communications.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in compiling, organizing and maintaining programme records, trackers and presentations.
- Support desk research and analysis on gender equality and related thematic areas.
- Prepare background notes, briefs, meeting materials, presentations and minutes.
- Help monitor and document programme activities, collecting data and outputs.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and events, including agendas and action points.
- Format and quality‑review programme documents and reports according to UN Women standards.
Required profile
- University studies in gender studies, international development, public policy, social sciences, economics, communications or a related field.
- Enrollment in a graduate programme, final year of a bachelor programme, recent graduate (within two years) or postgraduate traineeship.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
Required skills
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
