Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer supports planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects that align with Avery Dennison's business goals. Reporting to the Manager Engineering & Projects, the role acts as a key facilitator between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive engineering project plans, including timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, quality assurance, and logistics to coordinate project tasks.
• Manage the full lifecycle of new facility projects from design through construction.
• Track milestones, maintain documentation, and provide progress updates to regional and site leadership.
• Ensure compliance with laws, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Identify risks early, communicate them, and help develop solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Facilitate communication among internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor tasks, procurement support, contract adherence, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Monitor and report on schedule adherence, budget control, and quality outcomes.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in compliant factory environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Understanding of LOTO, electrical and machine safety procedures, and SBT.
• Familiarity with A3 problem solving, CAPEX and OPEX management.
