Project Engineer - Karachi

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead and deliver engineering projects at a manufacturing site in Karachi, ensuring safe, compliant and cost‑effective execution in line with Unilever standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver CAPEX and improvement projects covering process, utilities, civil, infrastructure and solar installations on time and within budget.
• Ensure strict adherence to Unilever Engineering, Quality and EHS standards throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as QA, EHS, Procurement and Operations.
• Manage contractors and vendors, overseeing installation and works execution.
• Drive project planning, cost control, risk management and regular reporting.
• Lead commissioning, validation and hand‑over of completed projects to operations.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement and efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, SOPs, reports and compliance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, FMCG or project engineering roles.
• Solid understanding of utilities, process systems and civil/infrastructure works.
• Good knowledge of EHS standards and ability to manage stakeholders and contractors.
