Project Solution Architect - Finance & Controlling

About the role

Abacus is seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect specialized in Finance & Controlling (FICO) to lead architecture and delivery of SAP finance transformation initiatives across its locations in Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for SAP FICO projects, translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, functional consultants, pre‑sales and technical teams to define scope and design.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including implementation, testing, deployment and post‑go‑live support.
• Ensure integration of SAP FICO with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, HCM) and external systems.
• Review designs for compliance with SAP standards, governance, security and methodology.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation and digital transformation.
• Manage risks, dependencies and solution‑related issues, offering recommendations.
• Mentor SAP consultants and contribute to building the organisation’s SAP delivery competency.
• Support presales activities, effort estimation and client presentations as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 10‑12 years of experience in SAP implementation, with extensive SAP Finance and Controlling expertise.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end financial business processes and SAP integration with other modules.
• Experience working with senior business stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• SAP certification in Finance/S/4HANA is a plus.
