Purchaser Officer

About the role

BrightSpyre is looking for a reliable and sharp Purchaser Officer to manage procurement for Chaaye Khana. You will source quality ingredients and supplies at the best prices, keep the kitchen and outlets well stocked, and build strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase food items, beverages, packaging, kitchen supplies and operational materials as required.
• Get quotations from several suppliers, compare prices and quality, and negotiate the best terms.
• Place purchase orders on time and follow up until goods arrive on schedule and complete.
• Check the quality, quantity and rates of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, store and outlet managers to track stock levels and plan purchases.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier lists and price comparisons.
• Work with the accounts team on invoices, payment schedules and documentation.
• Reduce wastage and control purchasing costs without compromising quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commerce or a related field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a purchasing role; restaurant, cafe or food and beverage experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of local markets, wholesalers and suppliers.
• Honest, organised and able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic inventory or purchasing systems.
