Purchasing Analyst

About the role

The Purchasing Analyst owns Mobiz’s end‑to‑end buy cycle, from request through invoice match, ensuring every purchase is approved, priced correctly and billed back to the customer where applicable.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests from ServiceNow and issue purchase orders in Dynamics 365 Business Central with correct vendor, pricing and dimensions.
• Buy licensing and hardware through distributors, linking each resale purchase to a customer sales order.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes, flagging any purchase that would erode expected gross margin.
• Maintain renewal calendars for internal tools and customer licensing, raising cancel‑or‑renew decisions 60 days before deadlines.
• Perform three‑way match of PO, receipt and vendor invoice, resolving exceptions before AP payment run.
• Onboard vendors and subcontractors, keeping the vendor master clean.
• Provide month‑end support: open‑PO reports, accruals, prepaid schedules and license‑purchase reconciliations.
• Report spend by vendor, category and customer, recommending consolidation or renegotiation.
• Support multi‑entity, multi‑currency purchasing for Canada, Bahrain, Malaysia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, supply chain or related field.
• 2–4 years experience in purchasing, procurement or accounts payable, preferably in an IT reseller, MSP or professional services firm.
• Hands‑on experience with an ERP; Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of three‑way match, accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, reconciliations).
• High accuracy and judgment to stop inappropriate purchases.
