Quality Assurance Executive – GPON FTTH

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Executive to support the implementation of our GPON FTTH network across Pakistan. The role focuses on technical evaluation, field inspections and ensuring that all access‑network work meets PTCL’s quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the GPON FTTH rollout plan while managing financial and human resources.
• Conduct technical evaluations of OSP (access network copper and fiber), including electrical testing of underground cables and physical surveys of MDFs, manholes, cabinets, DPs, loops, FDH, NAP, OLTs.
• Inspect ongoing access‑network development work to verify correct implementation.
• Participate in joint surveys for cabinet renovation programs.
• Prepare and continuously improve checklists for technical audits.
• Generate weekly and monthly activity reports for all QA zones and follow up on OSP QoS improvements.
• Ensure compliance with administrative, financial, HR, legal, EHS and ethical standards.
• Train new supervisors and executives on QA procedures.
• Test additions or new network elements (OLT, FDH, feeder routes, DWDM, etc.) according to approved PAT documents.
• Analyse customer complaints and propose actions to reduce fault‑rectification time and churn.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in telecom quality assurance or network deployment.
• Strong knowledge of access‑network architecture, IP networking and GPON/FTTH technologies.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Testing and troubleshooting optical fiber cables.
• Understanding of pin‑to‑port plans for FDH.
• Familiarity with OSP components (copper, fiber, cabinets, manholes, DPs, loops).
• Basic knowledge of IP network concepts.
