Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

British American Tobacco is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to support product and material innovation in Akora Khattak, Pakistan. You will ensure that all specifications, data management, and testing procedures meet global and regional quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement product and material innovation according to global and regional programs, ensuring right‑first‑time delivery.
• Define and manage specifications and data for packed products in line with BAT quality and legal standards before first production.
• Follow BAT‑recommended sampling frequencies and testing methodologies throughout the GLT process.
• Maintain data across databases, management information systems and spreadsheets.
• Monitor existing product performance to guarantee chemical, physical and manufacturing efficiency.
• Drive continuous product improvement, including travel to leaf areas for crop and storage protocol enhancements.
• Identify process optimisation opportunities and submit recommendations to Leaf and GLT teams.
• Conduct trials on process settings, analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Self‑motivated with initiative, leadership, decision‑making and resource‑management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, conflict‑management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to leaf areas as needed.
• Good knowledge of quality systems, ISO 9001/14001 and SPC.
