Quantum Internship (Unpaid)

About the role

PKTron offers an unpaid full‑time internship in Islamabad where you will work on a cutting‑edge quantum simulation framework. You will gain hands‑on experience in quantum computing research and AI‑driven simulation development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and refine components of the quantum simulation framework.
• Write and review code, run simulations, and document results.
• Conduct literature reviews on quantum computing and AI, and prepare technical notes.
• Contribute to GitHub repositories and collaborate with mentors on experimental design.
• Support debugging, performance optimisation, and basic data analysis.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of quantum mechanics, linear algebra and probability.
• Basic programming skills in Python or C++ and familiarity with Git/GitHub.
• Ability to conduct technical research, summarise findings and produce clear documentation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn new tools, and able to commit to a full‑time onsite schedule.
