Regional Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Coordinator

About the role

The Regional MEAL Coordinator will provide strategic and technical leadership to strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems across the Asia region, covering Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Mirpur (AJK), and Afghanistan. The role ensures programmes are evidence‑based, accountable, and aligned with donor and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen MEAL systems across the region, ensuring results‑focused and accountable programmes.
• Support country offices in programme design and donor proposal development by creating logical frameworks, indicators, targets, and MEAL plans.
• Establish regional monitoring frameworks, data quality assurance mechanisms, and performance tracking systems for timely and reliable data collection and reporting.
• Promote a culture of accountability and learning by enhancing feedback mechanisms, analysing performance, and capturing lessons learned.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and training to country teams, building sustainable MEAL capacity.
• Serve as liaison between country offices and the Global MEAL Desk, facilitating cross‑country collaboration, knowledge sharing, and high‑quality reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Public Policy, Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in the development sector, with at least 2 years in a similar MEAL role.
• Experience working in an international NGO or charitable organization; management experience in an international setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of global standards, SDGs and related international frameworks.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
