Regional Sports Coordinator - Punjab

About the role

Special Olympics Pakistan, a non-profit that uses sports to transform the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities, is looking for an energetic and organized Regional Sports Coordinator to drive sports operations across Punjab. The role supports coach development, oversees athlete training and fitness, manages competitions and coordinates with schools and venues. It is based in Lahore, Punjab, full-time and onsite, and reports to the Regional Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coach support and development: recruit, onboard and guide coaches, monitor training quality during field visits and support Special Olympics certification pathways.
• Training and performance oversight: deliver direct coaching sessions three days a week, track athlete progress and implement the Special Olympics Unified Sports model.
• Competition management: help plan and run events from Inter-School and City Games to Regional, National and Live-in Camps, covering officials, equipment and event flow.
• School coordination: partner with schools to keep training schedules running, track student participation and share progress updates.
• Data and inventory management: keep digital records of athletes and track sports equipment distribution, use and maintenance.
• Budget and administration: assist with regional sports budgets and ensure timely, accurate expense reporting.
• Safeguarding: uphold strict safety, dignity and safeguarding standards so athletes feel safe and secure.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education or a related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in sports coaching, coordination or management.
• Strong background in coaching and athlete development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time-management skills, with high professionalism and integrity.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital reporting tools and data management.
