Remote Macroeconomist – Economic Modeling & Forecasting

About the role

This remote position focuses on building and maintaining macroeconomic models for a technology sector client. You will analyze economic trends, forecast scenarios, and translate insights into strategic recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and refine macroeconomic models using EViews.
• Analyze historical and real‑time economic data to identify trends and inform model assumptions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn model outputs into actionable business or policy insights.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and model limitations for transparency.
• Present findings to non‑technical audiences through reports and presentations.

Required profile

• Strong background in macroeconomics, econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with time‑series data analysis and economic indicator interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in EViews for econometric modeling and forecasting.
• Ability to write and debug custom EViews scripts for automation and scenario testing.
