Remote Project Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to support our property management projects remotely. In this role you will ensure the financial health of projects by managing budgets, recording transactions and providing accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project budget forecasts, actuals, and variance analyses
• Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets
• Review and approve invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers and contractors
• Prepare monthly financial reports on project performance for management review
• Assist in the month‑end and year‑end financial closing processes
• Collaborate with project managers to provide insights on cost control and financial planning
• Ensure all financial activities align with company policies and accounting standards
• Perform reconciliations of project accounts as necessary
• Support the senior finance team in ad‑hoc reporting and financial analysis
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for audit purposes

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project accounting or a similar finance role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to project management
• Experience in the real estate or property management industry is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
