Remote Staff Accountant

About the role

The Staff Accountant will provide day‑to‑day accounting and bookkeeping support to a portfolio of global clients, working fully remote as part of AccBooks Outsource’s finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and prepare/review journal entries.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card accounts and maintain accurate general ledgers.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Support monthly and year‑end closing activities and prepare financial reports and management dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with client‑specific accounting policies and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to identify process improvements.
• Manage multiple client engagements, meet reporting deadlines, and uphold professional standards in a remote environment.

Required profile

• Strong foundational accounting knowledge, including general ledger management and reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; part‑qualified (e.g., ACCA, CMA) a plus.
• Experience in outsourced accounting, BPO or serving international clients is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication for global collaboration.
• Ability to work independently with reliable internet and a professional workspace.
