Remote System Engineer – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. This fully remote position involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions across multiple technical domains while ensuring alignment with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions across diverse technical domains.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate systems and resolve interoperability challenges.
• Analyze and optimize performance bottlenecks in existing infrastructure.
• Document technical specifications and maintain code repositories.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Python, Java, C++ or JavaScript.
• Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools like Docker.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with a focus on debugging and root‑cause analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
