About the role
We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant (EA or CPA) to work remotely on a contract basis. The professional will handle federal and state tax filings for both individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Ensure all filings comply with current tax laws and regulations.
- Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Maintain client records and documentation according to tax standards.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
Required profile
- Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- Minimum three years of experience preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
Required skills
- Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax or Drake.
