Remote Tax Accountant (EA/CPA)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Accountant with an Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential to join a global accounting leader on a remote basis. The role focuses on preparing and filing accurate federal and state tax returns for both individuals and businesses while ensuring full compliance with current tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individual and corporate clients.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable tax laws and filing deadlines.
• Research complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations.
• Organize and preserve client records in line with tax standards.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Minimum three years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax.
• Experience using Drake or similar tax platforms.
