Rug & Carpet Designer for Seasonal Collections

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Rug & Carpet Designer to create two seasonal collections (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027) for our atelier. The role is contract‑based and will be performed from Pakistan, focusing on research‑driven design that respects traditional weaving motifs from Turkey, Iran, and the Caucasus while positioning the collections against global competitors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 rug collections in line with our Design Guidance document.
• Conduct rigorous, documented research on regional textile traditions and the competitive landscape of rug design houses and major home retailers in the US and Europe.
• Present a design point of view, portfolio, and research findings as part of the pitch.
• Deliver final design assets that meet the contractual deliverables for both collections.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of professional experience in rug, carpet, or textile design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Turkish, Persian (Iranian), Caucasian, and related textile traditions.
• Ability to analyse competitive market trends and translate insights into design recommendations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Working knowledge of Galaincha rug design software.
