Rust Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Rust Developer to join a global software development leader on a contract basis. This fully remote position focuses on building high‑performance, memory‑safe systems while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Rust‑based applications and libraries with an emphasis on speed and reliability.
• Write idiomatic Rust code following best practices for safety, concurrency, and efficiency.
• Integrate Rust components into existing architectures and work closely with other engineers.
• Profile, debug, and optimise algorithms and data structures for low‑latency, high‑throughput workloads.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in Rust and its ecosystem (Cargo, Clippy, Rustfmt).
• Strong background in systems programming, memory management, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with performance profiling and debugging of Rust applications.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and optimisation techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
