S4 Solutions Engineer – Electronic Security & Safety

About the role

The S4 Solutions Engineer will own the electronic security solution for every bid, from design through commissioning. You will ensure camera coverage, door schedules, and system integration meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑sales support: define system architecture, coverage, device BOM, storage, bandwidth, licensing, integration, door schedules, technical scope, testing and commissioning requirements.
• Post‑sales support: handoff, manage RFIs and substitutions, provide implementation assistance, verify commissioning.
• Specialty lead: assign and review part‑time engineers, enforce S4 standards, act as escalation point for Service Desk cases.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience designing video surveillance systems.
• Preferred experience with access control, intrusion design, and K‑12 security projects.
• Relevant certifications in at least one VMS or camera manufacturer platform.

Required skills

• Camera coverage planning and storage calculations.
• Licensing management for video management systems.
• Door hardware interface knowledge and door schedule configuration.
• VMS or camera manufacturer certification (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis).
• Access control platform certification.
