Sales Operations Analyst

About the role

Zones, a global IT solution provider and MBE operating in more than 120 countries, is hiring a Sales Operations Analyst. This individual contributor role analyzes and optimizes sales portfolios to drive growth and improve operational efficiency, working with the sales leadership team so that sales representatives are assigned to accounts that maximize revenue opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and refine sales portfolios based on company objectives, market potential, historical performance and sales goals
• Analyze sales data, customer segmentation, market trends and performance metrics to inform territory allocation
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand field challenges and adjust portfolios for optimal coverage
• Ensure sales resources (teams, tools) are allocated effectively across territories and accounts
• Work with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams to align goals and share insights
• Track seller and portfolio performance, monitor the sales pipeline and forecast accuracy, and execute the Peel and Grow strategy
• Review territory boundaries and account assignments regularly
• Help forecast regional sales objectives and manage realistic quotas
• Prepare and present regular reports on territory performance to senior leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, Computer Science or a related field; MBA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in sales operations, territory planning or related functions
• IT industry experience preferred
• Strong understanding of sales processes, market analysis and customer segmentation

Required skills

• Dynamics CRM and sales performance tools
• Analysis and business intelligence/reporting tools
• Advanced Excel, macros, SQL queries, MDX queries, CRM advanced queries and Power BI reporting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills
