Seasonal Traffic Coordinator & Construction Roles

About the role

We are hiring for several seasonal and permanent positions within our highway division, including Traffic Coordinator, asphalt labourers, base and excavation labourers, tandem/water truck drivers, and excavator operators. Candidates will work on road construction projects, performing physical labour and operating heavy equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic flow and safety measures on highway construction sites (Traffic Coordinator).
• Perform physical tasks such as shovelling, raking, sweeping and operating packers.
• Operate tandem trucks and water trucks safely, conduct pre‑trip inspections and deliver aggregates.
• Operate excavators for digging, site preparation and ditching, read blueprints and grade specifications.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence (Class 3 for truck drivers; Class 5 for excavator operators).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on‑call for long hours or weekends.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
• Punctual, reliable and team‑oriented.

Required skills

• Excavator operation.
• Tandem truck and water‑truck operation.
• Use of GPS/Trimble positioning systems.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and site plans.
