Security Contracts & Business Development Specialist

About the role

This remote position focuses on identifying, pursuing, and submitting contract opportunities within the security guard and physical security industry. The specialist will build a pipeline of prospects and manage the early sales cycle until opportunities are ready for the internal sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Research and locate security guard, patrol, fire watch, event security, access control, and related contract opportunities across public and private sectors.
• Register the company on government, municipal, school district, healthcare, commercial, and private vendor portals.
• Monitor RFPs, RFQs, tenders, bid boards, and procurement websites for new opportunities.
• Prepare complete bid submissions, including proposals, capability statements, compliance forms, pricing sheets, and questionnaires.
• Engage procurement officers, property managers, facility managers, general contractors, and event organizers via email and phone.
• Coordinate with local sales teams for follow‑up, site visits, and relationship building.
• Track all opportunities, deadlines, contacts, and bid status in an organized pipeline.
• Follow up on submitted bids and warm leads until they are ready for hand‑off.

Required profile

• Prior experience with contract procurement, RFPs, tenders, bid submissions, or business development.
• Experience in the security guard or physical security industry is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written communication and ability to produce professional submission documents.
• Comfortable with cold outreach, follow‑up calls, and early‑stage sales activities.
• Highly organized, deadline‑driven, and capable of handling a high volume of opportunities.
• Self‑motivated remote worker who can take ownership of the pipeline.
• Experience with U.S. government procurement portals and vendor registrations is a major plus.
