Senior Accountant (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our remote team and support a US‑based client of Cordatus. The role involves preparing accurate financial statements, managing month‑end close, and providing strategic financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements with monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and company policies while overseeing the general ledger.
• Analyze costs, recommend optimization strategies, and evaluate financial risks.
• Develop and manage budgets, delivering forecasts to aid decision‑making.
• Handle back‑office accounting functions: A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and periodic reporting.
• Enter invoices and accounting data into cloud‑based accounting systems.
• Mentor junior staff and assist team managers with various tasks.
• Interact with clients via Zoom, MS Teams, email, Slack, and live chats.

Required profile

• ACCA, MBA, or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance.
• Fluent spoken and written English for communication with US‑based clients.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with reliable internet and a dedicated remote workspace.
• Availability to work US time zones, Monday‑Friday.
