Senior Accountant (Remote)

About the role

SpotterLabs is seeking a Senior Accountant to anchor financial integrity and drive system transformation. This full‑time remote position focuses on high‑level accounting judgment, rigorous review, and audit readiness during a period of growth and software migration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead lease accounting (ASC 842) and manage Right‑of‑Use assets and liabilities.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, capitalization policies, disposals, and impairment assessments.
• Conduct technical GAAP reviews, assess complex transactions, contracts, and financing arrangements.
• Manage month‑end close, accruals, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and strengthen cut‑off procedures.
• Prepare audit schedules, technical documentation, and support external auditors.
• Partner with leadership to design improved workflows and support system migration.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with US GAAP and controllership functions.
• Proven ability to provide detailed accounting judgment and ensure audit readiness.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
