Senior AI Architect – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Architect to lead the design and delivery of production‑grade AI applications that address complex real‑world problems at scale. This remote position combines AI architecture, software engineering, and cloud expertise to turn innovative concepts into reliable, deployed solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect end‑to‑end AI platforms, including retrieval‑augmented generation and knowledge systems.
• Build scalable agent‑based and multi‑agent workflows for automation and complex decision making.
• Develop backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud‑native infrastructure supporting AI workloads.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security standards.
• Guide technical decisions on AI orchestration, deployment, and system integration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver high‑quality products.
• Integrate AI capabilities with internal and external platforms and data sources.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering AI‑powered applications in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of retrieval‑based systems, semantic search, and AI orchestration patterns.
• Strong background in software architecture and distributed systems design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote setting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Frontend development with React or Next.js.
• Design and implementation of APIs and scalable cloud‑native applications.
• Understanding of security, authentication and enterprise integration patterns.
