Senior AI Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and develop LLM‑powered Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and AI agents that automate insurance and reinsurance workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build searchable knowledge bases from enterprise documents using RAG techniques.
• Create AI agents that analyze insurance submissions, identify next actions, missing information, and relevant documents.
• Develop agentic workflows with tool/function calling using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Semantic Kernel.
• Integrate agents with vector databases, SQL/enterprise databases, APIs, web search, and internal applications.
• Implement multi‑agent systems for communication, task delegation, and collaboration.
• Handle document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector and hybrid search, and reranking.
• Integrate commercial and open‑source LLMs and embedding models.
• Build natural‑language database querying / Text‑to‑SQL capabilities with security controls.
• Establish feedback, evaluation, monitoring, logging, hallucination checks, and AI security guardrails.
• Deploy and integrate AI services with existing enterprise applications and databases.

Required skills

• Strong Python development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI agents.
• Proficiency with LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks.
• Experience in tool/function calling, agent orchestration, and multi‑agent systems.
• SQL/database expertise and API integration.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and vector databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
