Senior AI Engineer – LLM Applications (Python, AWS Bedrock, RAG, Vue.js) Remote

About the role

We are looking for a senior engineer to own and ship an AI assistant that is already live on our K‑12 teaching platform. The assistant helps teachers plan lessons, generate assessments, grade work and perform real‑time actions within the app.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the end‑to‑end service using Python, FastAPI and LangGraph agents on AWS Lambda.
• Implement model routing across Bedrock models (Nova, Claude, gpt‑oss) and balance accuracy with cost per request.
• Build and operate retrieval pipelines with Pinecone hybrid search, OpenAI embeddings, reranking and index synchronization.
• Write evaluation suites for routing, retrieval and answer quality, and ensure safety features such as guardrails, grounded answers and confirmation before data changes.
• Develop the in‑app UI side using Nuxt 3 / Vue 3 / TypeScript to let the assistant read pages and trigger actions.
• Manage production infrastructure with Terraform, CloudWatch alarms, cost tracking and GitLab CI/CD.

Required profile

• 5+ years building production software with strong Python expertise.
• 2+ years shipping LLM features (RAG, agents, tool calling) to real users.
• Hands‑on experience with vector databases, embeddings and model switching.
• Solid AWS knowledge (Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, DynamoDB); Bedrock experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Vue.js, TypeScript and building frontend features.
