Senior Android Developer – Custom Keyboard Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with deep expertise in custom keyboard (IME) development for a 2‑month contract. The role is hybrid, based in Pakistan, and requires immediate contribution to a high‑performance keyboard solution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android keyboard applications using Kotlin/Java.
• Work extensively with the Android Input Method Framework (IME) to implement custom layouts, themes, language support, suggestions, and autocorrection.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and responsiveness across Android versions and device configurations.
• Integrate third‑party APIs, backend services, and libraries as needed.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in the keyboard app.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to meet project timelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Proven experience building custom keyboard/IME applications.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
