Senior Business Analyst (MIPS) – Healthcare IT

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst (MIPS) will design and document end‑to‑end Merit‑based Incentive Payment System reporting workflows, ensuring accurate and compliant CMS reporting through EHR integration. The role collaborates closely with analysis, development, QA and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze current clinical workflows and identify data gaps for MIPS reporting.
• Translate CMS Quality Payment Program requirements into functional specifications and development deliverables.
• Coordinate with providers, registry vendors and technical teams to support Quality, Improvement Activities, Promoting Interoperability and Cost performance categories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, health informatics, IT or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MIPS reporting, CMS quality programs or healthcare IT compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with EHR‑based MIPS data reporting and qualified registries.

Required skills

• Strong analytical ability to document current‑state and future‑state workflows.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar requirements‑tracking tools.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, QRDA and C‑CDA interoperability standards.
• Understanding of SDLC, business analysis, requirements management and UAT processes.
