Senior Cloud Governance & Assurance Specialist

About the role

The Cloud Governance and Assurance Specialist will ensure Mashreq Bank’s cloud environment meets local UAE regulations and international standards across multiple regions. You will design and enforce governance frameworks, conduct compliance assessments, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align cloud operations with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain cloud governance frameworks for Azure environments.
• Perform regular compliance assessments against UAE, PAK, IN, Oman, Qatar and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and mitigate cloud‑related risks in partnership with security and risk teams.
• Work closely with architecture, operations and legal teams to ensure cloud services adhere to organizational policies.
• Provide guidance and training on cloud compliance best practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in cloud security, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of UAE banking regulations and international cloud compliance standards.
• Proven ability to work with multiple cloud service providers, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
