Senior Computer Aided Design Designer

About the role

Imtiaz is seeking a Senior Computer Aided Design Designer to join its Karachi team on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role focuses on producing detailed technical and construction drawings that support retail projects, fixtures, layouts and related engineering designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, revise and finalize precise CAD drawings for retail and commercial fit‑out projects.
• Interpret design requirements and translate functional needs into manufacturable drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture and operations teams to ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain organized drawing documentation and optimise designs for functionality and cost‑effectiveness.
• Provide technical support during project execution and on‑site implementation.
• Mentor junior designers and drive continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools and workflows.
• Proficiency in technical drawing, dimensioning, tolerances and drafting standards.
• Experience creating and reviewing construction drawings for retail or commercial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design or a related field.
• Several years of senior‑level CAD or design experience, preferably in retail, construction or commercial fit‑out environments.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and capacity to manage multiple projects.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for on‑site multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, materials and fabrication processes is an advantage.
