Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong, hands‑on experience managing modern cloud infrastructure and operating across the full stack. You will work end‑to‑end—from Azure networking and routing to server operations, application hosting, and platform performance—collaborating closely with senior engineers and taking ownership of infrastructure design, reliability, and optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Build, operate, and scale the infrastructure behind our SaaS platform, owning deployment, monitoring, and recovery across applications, infrastructure, and database layers.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable frequent, reliable releases across multiple services and environments.
• Manage and optimise Azure‑based environments including compute, networking, and storage with a focus on reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Support and improve IIS‑hosted applications and MSSQL databases, ensuring smooth deployments, high availability, and strong runtime performance.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems that allow teams to quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
• Work closely with engineering teams to improve deployment processes, strengthen system reliability, and increase operational maturity.
• Contribute to platform‑wide security practices, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure roles.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure infrastructure (compute, networking, load balancing, storage).
• Experience with Azure DevOps and building automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting IIS‑hosted applications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including DACPAC deployments, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with Azure AD, SSO, cloud security best practices, high availability and disaster recovery design.
