Senior Executive - Transmission Network Maintenance

About the role

The role covers the operation and maintenance of the transmission network, including optical transmission, microwave transmission, fiber cable networks and IP-Core networks. It involves performance management, KPI monitoring, outage analysis and network optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the CMPAK transmission and optical fiber network and manage performance of the core optical (metro/long haul), microwave, IP-Core and fiber networks.
• Monitor vital transmission KPIs, run routine quality tests and keep KPIs within required thresholds.
• Analyze utilization trends and provide statistical reports to management; root cause analysis of major outages and recommendations to prevent them.
• Carry out pre- and post-event analysis, benchmarking, system health checks and special event preparations.
• Review network topology, forecast traffic and optimize the network for expansion and better quality.
• Coordinate with peer departments on end-to-end capacity expansion and support issue analysis and rectification plans.
• Support optical transmission and fiber network planning, debugging and optimization, and microwave frequency and capacity planning for the access network (2G, 3G, 4G) to avoid interference.
• Review HLD/LLD and approve MOPs for major cutovers and upgrades, coordinate with regions on solutions, and optimize inventory use based on fault patterns.
• Support feasibility studies for corporate customers, lead FTTH and GPON feasibility and resource management, and formulate optimized policies and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or another relevant field.
• Preferred 3-5 years of experience.
• Good presentation and communication skills, able to work independently and in a team, and under pressure.
