Senior Game Developer

About the role

Value and Growth Advisory (VGA) is expanding its gaming and interactive products vertical with a flagship social fantasy football platform for the MENA region. We are looking for a Senior Game Developer to own the animation‑rich, "game‑feel" layer of this product, delivering high‑fidelity gameplay moments on iOS and Android.

Key responsibilities

• Build interactive, animation‑rich features such as card collections, pack openings, match‑day cinematics, weekly winner celebrations, reward sequences, streaks, and badge unlocks.
• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D scenes using Unity (and Unreal where applicable), optimized for mobile performance, battery, and memory budgets.
• Design and implement animation systems with Animator Controllers, Timeline, state machines, blend trees, and event‑driven triggers driven by real match data.
• Create shader‑based visual effects (holographic cards, glow, parallax, particle systems, post‑processing) that run at 60 fps on mid‑range devices.
• Collaborate with motion designers and UI/UX engineers to translate Figma flows and motion specs into polished interactive screens.
• Integrate Unity‑built scenes into a Flutter mobile shell using Unity‑as‑a‑Library, handling communication bridges and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in game development.
• Senior‑level expertise with Unity and strong understanding of mobile performance constraints.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, design, mobile, and backend teams.

Required skills

• Unity (C#), Animator Controllers, Timeline, state machines, blend trees.
• Unreal Engine (optional).
• Shader programming, particle systems, post‑processing effects.
• Flutter integration using Unity‑as‑a‑Library.
• iOS and Android mobile development.
• Figma for design hand‑off.
