About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to own and evolve our Linux‑based infrastructure, drive automation, and ensure security and reliability across cloud and on‑prem environments. The role is fully remote and part of XTIUM’s global team that values continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

Manage and harden Rocky Linux, CentOS, and RHEL systems, including kernel patching and performance troubleshooting.
Perform security scanning, vulnerability assessments, LDAP integration, and WAF configuration to meet internal and regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, AWX/Tower pipelines, and automation scripts in Python, Shell, or Go.
Configure and tune Apache and Nginx web servers, handling SSL/TLS, load balancing, and reverse proxy setups.
Deploy, scale, and monitor containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or on‑prem) and build secure Docker images.
Implement monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK) and lead on‑call incident response, defining SLIs/SLOs and conducting blameless post‑mortems.

Required profile

8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
Hands‑on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools and familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and CNI plugins (Calico, Cilium).
Understanding of zero‑trust networking, SSO integrations, and security best practices.
Strong communication, mentorship abilities, and a collaborative DevSecOps mindset.
